It is my wish that everyone I know to be saved. What does that mean, in short, that they have been called by God and walk in His truth and repentance, aware that this life is not their own, but it was given to them by God. That they may believe in Jesus’ death and his resurrection. That they may see God’s faithfulness even in difficult times. That they may put their trust in Him and not themselves.
Today, we pray that God does His will in the lives of our loved ones and anyone we encounter. If he so wishes, He can open their eyes to the truth, that there is only sadness and disarray outside of Him. That they need Him every hour, that He gives us every breath that we take. That He loves us and cares for us.
"Lord, I pray today for the lost souls in the world, wandering around with no hope, not believing in the one true God. I pray you may enter their hearts and open their eyes to your loving kindness. May they see your goodness and faithfulness. May they repent on the lives they have been living and put their trust in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, that we may be seen blameless in your eyes. May their eyes be open to the gravity of their sins and the mercy you have on us. I pray your will be done in their lives. In Jesus Holy name, amen."
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9
