Statistically, 1 in 8 couples struggles with infertility. Taking that into consideration, that is quite a lot of people. It almost seems more common than many think, yet it is hardly ever discussed. Today, we will pray for those couples who have been trying to start a family but have not succeeded.
This topic hits very close to home for me because it is a current struggle in my life and affects not only me but also my husband. It is one of the most difficult challenges I have faced in my life and marriage, so I pray for others who are going through the same thing. May they remain steadfastly trusting in God. Although we cannot understand why we are going through this, we know He is in control of everything, including the if and when we will bear children. If you know a couple going through this, be kind and mindful of what you say around them, they are hurting on a level many, if not most, will never understand.
“Lord, today we present couples who wish to start a family. We pray that you may guide them during this time. That they may trust in you and put their faith in you, knowing you are good and work all things for our good. May we not lose hope but pray and trust that you will either fulfill our desire or grant us another desire. We believe that you will lead us in your path, even if it is difficult. I pray you may comfort these couples when they are filled with despair. May you encourage them when they have lost all hope. May you send them friends who understand and can share their struggles. May they not feel alone during this time. I have faith that our prayers will be answered one day, and ask these things in Jesus’ name, amen.”
